Well here is a quick reminder that if you want to know what someone values you look at where they spend their money and their TIME. So here are 5 EASY ways to spend more time with Jesus. Utilize multitasking So you are super busy... that's not an excuse! Think about where you can multitask. For example you can play a sermon while you shower and get ready. Play Worship Music Listen to worship music in the car while driving to work. Do a YouVersion Devotional Watch the bible app (you version)'s verse of the day. super easy has a little sermon, devotional, and prayer all read out loud to you. Have a quick chit-chat with God through prayer. If you don’t already, praying is literally the fastest (and preferred) way to spend time with God. He can read your mind, sure, but there’s something significant and filling about speaking to him out loud. Scroll (guilt-free) through social media. Look, we already spend way more time then we should be, scrolling through Instagram and Facebook, so why not use these amazing platforms for our spiritual benefit? Cin Cin Restaurant Review (by Top Table)
Hi friends, Now that the unvaxxed are free to roam again Cam and I have been doing dates left and right. Our most recent one was at one of Top Table Group’s restaurants in Vancouver called Cin Cin. We have previously enjoyed some of Top Table's restaurants so I was very excited for this. First things first, we almost walked past it. It is hidden in a little alleyway up some stairs so I would have never noticed it if we weren't looking for it. The menu is Italian… and I’m an absolute food idiot who needs like a Denny’s menu -- you know one with the photos-- to have any idea of what I’m ordering. I kid you not - one time I thought I was ordering pasta and I got SOUP! But their Instagram has good photos of everything so you can figure out what it is that you are ordering. I went for the 3 course meal for the price of one entre. The starter was incredible. I ordered the beef carpaccio. I am glad I didn't know at the time that I was eating raw meat because if I did I probably would've hurled. I wish it had more capers. But that’s okay. Then for my main I got the cod which came with a delish garnish/seasoning - IDK what it was but it was like chopped purple red and yellow things. I know it was the flavouring for the fish but it was so small which is why I call it a garnish. I would have liked a lemon on the side because the cod was really plain in flavour and the "garnish" was a GREAT pairing but it wasn’t strong enough to do the whole fish. Cam got one of the pastas... which was literally just pasta. No garnish, meat, or anything which surprised me that there was nothing on the side. Then desert is where it REALLY tanked. My waitress wouldn’t let me switch the pana cotta that came with the 3 course for a chocolate lava cake on the full menu even know it was the same price. I LOVE chocolate lava cake so that alone bumps 2 stars off their review.
also the panna cotta is all premade with the berries so that’s another star off because even though cam loved it, I’d I’m paying to go to a nice restaurant I expect a certain level of service and this felt more scoop the goop, goof free style. like an expensjve microwave meal or popsicle from the freezer. Overall it was a great date and the food was good but would I go back? No. The price compared to the quality of food just didn’t align for me. Top Table has many other much better restaurants where when you eat the food it really aligns with what they’ve valued it at. How to make Friends as an adult in your 20s
Hi friends, It seems so much easier to make friends as a kid, hey? Crazy. Well it doesn't have to be hard to make friends as an adult. Today I share my story and my best tips: It was my first year university and I was rooming with another girl my height who also loves fashion and pink and having bubbly fun. Her name was Lindsay and she told me I was the sister she always wanted, and she was the best friend I always wanted. Someone so I could be friends with for the rest of my life and look back when we are older with our husbands and kids at our fun university days together. That’s the dream for every girl going into university isn’t it? However as the year went on our friendship seem to dwindle away. She found other friends who like to count calories with her and I was left there unable to participate in the conversation (because #boring). The following year she left university and the city without even telling me. That is when I knew for sure that our friendship was dead and it never meant as much to her as it did to me. Then it was Dani my new forever friend. I stayed at her basement suite almost as often as I stayed in my dorm room. We went out partying, shared clothes, did bible study together, & both loved watching sports. She had such a special place in my heart. But she was busy with her boyfriend and I had other friends to fill my time. Until one day she gave me an ultimatum to big for me to take: her or my other friends. And that was the end of Dani and I. Sad but true. She also ended up moving away. I gave up & became hopeless. Was I just not meant to find a sister to be my forever friend? Now each girl I saw looked like another broken heart. A friendship that would only eventually end. Add Something hopeful ^^ lol sorry couldn't think of anything at the time... How to make friends Make friends through friends you already have
You can do this by doing a group event and telling your friends to invite some people. Or you can tell your friend "hey that girl seemed really cool, we should do something the three of us" or whatever. Sit by somebody new at church
This one is often overlooked because people don't want to leave their comfort zone. Start interacting with people on Instagram and TikTok
It seems like EVERYONE wants more/new friends -- especially on the internet. start slow and organically build up a relationship with other locals who you think you'd vibe with by commenting on their posts and responding to IG stories. If you see them reciprocating, then one day just say "screw it" and message them and see if they want to go for coffee or make some content together. Join a life group or interest group
This is a great way to find like-minded people! Cameron and I have loved getting to know the people in our life group and have done multiple lunches after church together and board game nights. I hope this helped spark some inspiration and remind you that it really is so easy to make friends in your 20's, all you have to do is get out there and get out of your comfort zone! I Got a New Car: all about my hyundai kona n line
Wowza! When My family gave me Fernanda it was such a blessing! my home town had a great bus system but when I moved to a new place the bus system was terrible and I would have to get to work an hour early just to ensure I made it on time. So with Fernanda came freedom. Goodbye Fernanda, my 2002 Hyundai Accent, aka the best university present my Grandparents/parents got me. She has served me well these past 5 years but Cam decided it was time for an upgrade. Time to get some safety features and backup parking cameras. Also when he sometimes had to drive Fernanda to work she looked a little funny next to the teslas, porches, Mercedes’, etc. What I was looking for in a new car: safety features a clicker backup assist no soy wires under the car heated seats a real extensive list 😂 I wish (well not really…) I could tell you about how I chose it but I gave cam my list of what I wanted and he showed me some cars that I said yes or no to and he decided on the final car. what we chose: hyundai kona n line Went from a 2002 to a 2022 😂 what I like about it: It is an SUV but still a small car - still young and fun! If you get in a car crash it will ask if you’re okay and if you don’t respond it will call 911 Bluetooth! and a clicker! They have to be putting cocaine or something in this fragrance.
