Micro Needling: What you need to know
Hi Friends!
Interested in getting a micro needling done? Learn all of the most frequently asked questions below
Do you know what I do for a job? Im a social media manager and while working at a digital marketing agency, I have a wide array of clients that I needed to learn all about and listen to the questions from the community. So I learnt a lot about micro needing during our photoshoot at Michaud's Salon & Skincare Centre.
What is micro needling?
It is a super treatment if you have: ❌ Acne. ❌ Hair loss (also called alopecia) ❌ Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation) ❌ Large pores. ❌ Reduced skin elasticity. ❌ Scars. ❌ Stretch marks. ❌ Sun damage.
Why should I get micro needling?
Now that you know what Microneedling is, let’s answer the question, ‘why I would I want to prick my skin with tiny needles?’…well, there are a lot of benefits to this procedure that will help you with issues like: 💫 Acne 💫 Hair loss (also called alopecia)
💫 Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation) 💫 Large pores 💫 Reduced skin elasticity 💫 Scars 💫 Stretch marks 💫 Sun damage 💫 Fine lines and wrinkles
Looks a little different, right?
Have fine lines, small scars, pigmentation, and enlarged pores? Look into microneedling. 💫 Stimulates production of collagen, tightens and thickens the skin 💫 Reduces the appearance of crow's feet, lip lines, forehead lines and frown lines 💫 Minimizes the appearance of sun damage At home microneedling can often do more harm than good. The Dermaroller (what we use) is made in Germany and meets all standards for medical‑ grade equipment. It is the only device of its kind approved by Health Canada, and has been approved by Fraser Health to provide this treatment in spas. ✅ Don’t risk it at home, come to the people you can trust
Very different!
Using the wrong needling tool can cause more damage than good. Do your research and ask your skin technician about their micro needling needle shape and depth. Otherwise, you may scar your face.
How long until I see results?
How long does it take to see results from micro needling? As soon as the deepest layers of your skin are penetrated by the needles, “micro‑wounds” are created. This triggers your body's wound healing processes to heal your micro wounds immediately. However, the most dramatic results will not be visible until four to six weeks after treatment.
